I am often asked, ‘Why did you choose the world of silk?’ And I must admit that I cannot answer in just a few words. It has been a long journey of reflection, encounters, introspection and, above all, discoveries... a world of discoveries that continues to expand.
I'll let you discover why I embarked on the wonderful world of natural mulberry silk, Eri silk, Tussar silk and Muga silk, all hand-woven.
Travels
I am deeply grateful to have already travelled to many places around the world, from East to West, from Japan to Polynesia. And there are still so many countries, things and encounters to explore.
A friend once told me, ‘Buying your plane ticket is the start of the journey.’ She's right. It's so exciting to have your ticket in your hands and be able to look forward to your trip.
Discover a city, a region, marvel at a sunset or sunrise. Admire the natural wonders of the earth and admire the most beautiful monuments.
Encounter new cultures and customs, visit spiritual places, and feel your heart burst with joy at all this beauty.
Breathtaking scenery... this swing is over 4,000 metres above the city of Quito... what a feeling!
So, what about silk in all this?
Silk... I am still discovering it and I long to discover more:
its ancestral weaving methods, a passion shared from generation to generation; a powerful energy emanates.
A wrap of softness, silky smooth, elegant; luxurious fabrics sometimes sourced from unique locations around the world.
The feeling of discovering and bringing back something wonderful is unparalleled: creamy mulberry silk, peaceful Eri silk, regal Muga silk and light Tussar silk, fabrics hand-woven by artisans from all corners of the world.
Cultural richness
Every fabric has its own history, culture and richness.
Its fluidity, its reflections... everything about it is magical!
I enjoy travelling with Tohora and sharing with you what defines me: a love of beauty, a passion for travel, my integrity and my expertise, supported by my local partners whom I admire!
Thank you to everyone who already supports me.

Each treasure is made from natural silk. Hand weavers from all over the world weave using traditional methods. They come from Asia, Central Asia, Japan, Africa and Latin America.
Tohora finds each piece during enchanting journeys and human adventures, through encounters with passionate artisans who carry within them fascinating stories woven into the fabric of their culture and homeland.
My uniqueness lies in the value of these one-of-a-kind creations, which are carefully crafted by hand. They possess a living energy and soul. I select these creations with feminine delicacy during my travels.
I also offer a bespoke service to guide you in your quest for the perfect fabric. In addition, I am launching a unique and exceptional service: assistance in purchasing silk textiles, according to precise specifications, accompanied by the creation and printing of a travel book, from the weaver to the finished piece of furniture, thus giving the product you order a unique identity.
