Tussar Silk
Tussar silk is a natural and delicate fabric, so it requires special care when washing.
- Soft hand wash: Wash Tussar silk in lukewarm or cold water only. Hot water can weaken the fibers.
- Use mild detergent: Use a special detergent made for silk or a very mild baby shampoo. Never use harsh detergents or bleach
- Soak for a short time: Do not soak the fabric in water for too long. 3-5 minutes is enough.
- Do not rub, press gently: Do not rub the fabric to remove stains. Just press gently to remove the water.
- Dry in shade: It is not advisable to dry silk in direct sunlight as it may fade the color. It is better to dry in the shade.
- Ironing Notes: Iron on low heat and if possible, place a cotton cloth over the fabric before ironing.
- If the garment is very expensive or heavily embroidered, dry cleaning is the safest option.
